Open Question: Al Davis & The Oakland Circus?

As a Raider Fan I am very disgusted with the way things have been in Oakland since their embarrassing Super Bowl Appearance. After that Super bowl they went from being a Threat to a Circus act! Lets face it, Al Davis I think in his old age has forgotten that he owns the Oakland Raiders a once proud and fierce football team and not the Ringling Bros or Barnum & Baileys Circus. For a long time It almost appeared that he was turning them into a Geriatric Unit with all the old players that were on their way out nevertheless they played good football despite coming up short in the playoffs. Yet here we are with a fresh young Oakland Raider team that barely can beat the cheerleading squad let alone another NFL team. The controversy that brewed over their head coach and all that ultimately came down to him being fired was Ridiculous Al had to much involvement in the coaching as well as other things. The offense while not the greatest and still needed some work wasn’t the issue in really any of the games this year two of the 4 games that they have played they truly lost because of their defense and I believe that was a direct result to the defensive coach who should been the one let go. Then work from there on the remaining issues I felt that the offense played well for Kiffen better than they did last year or for any of the other coaches that they’ve had over the past 6 years. Then again its really hard to tell how well a team is actually going to play for someone when All an owner does is fire coach after coach and Undermines his play calling as well as being a dictator. I personally Believe it is time for Al Davis to sell the team off though the chance off that are slim to none. This just me ranting about al davis and the raiders and looking for fellow raider fans or football fans in genral to share their rants about Ol Al Davis and the joke he has created in Oakland. Like Travis, I feel that Natraul cause will be the only way to get Al out of Oakland and as sad as it is it can't come soon enough. ....... read more
